The 17-year-old conservationist spoke to reporters backstage after Monday night’s show and dished about their trio dance with Mark Ballas.
“It was so exciting. Derek comes in on [last] Tuesday, he’s like, ‘We’re going to get this steel metal box and this rope with a lightbulb,” she shared. “I don’t know how he does it because he creates things that are so beautiful and so meaningful.”
Bindi added, “For this dance, it was really just about how we’re all connected and finding that light in everyday life and it was stepping outside of that box. We all put ourselves in these bubbles.”
