The 22-year-old One Direction singer showed off a new lion tattoo on his left hand – but later revealed that it’s fake!

“Fake tattoo day,” he captioned a close-up Instagram photo of the ink, which you can see below.

The night before, Liam hit the red carpet with his bandmates at the 2015 American Music Awards.
