Rowan Blanchard Talks 'Girl Meets World' Love Triangle: 'We All Saw it Coming'

Rowan Blanchard is opening up about this season’s hot topic on Girl Meets World – the brewing love triangle!

The 14-year-old actress had an inkling early on that Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) had feelings between them.

“I think we all saw it coming,” Rowan told TVLine.com. “We just knew it was natural for the characters. If you go back in Season 1, there are certain lines that Lucas says to Maya or Maya says to Lucas � and it’s so obvious they have feelings for each other. I don’t know what’s going to happen in Season 3, but for me, this all feels so natural.”

So is Riley really OK with Lucas and Maya getting together?

“She’s clearly putting that on, but I do think it was an interesting way to resolve it,” Rowan said. “You can only do the love triangle thing so many times on TV, and I feel like we had an interesting take on it, where Riley’s basically trying to shut down her feelings for him. I liked how it was really about human nature, what we will and won’t do for people.”
