Sabrina Carpenter Covers Dec/Jan 'Girl's Life' Mag: 'Sarah & I Are Incredibly Close'
Sabrina Carpenter looks more than ready for a glam holiday party on the December 2015/January 2016 issue of Girl’s Life magazine.
The 16-year-old Girl Meets World actress and singer chats up her music, Adventures in Babysitting and sister Sarah. Check it:
On music: “I started writing music when I was 10, although the songs I wrote back then were terrible. But in the past year and a half, I’ve learned so much. I’ve been writing almost every day. It’s like venting, but you can find inspiration anywhere. The other day I was sitting in this little courtyard outside the studio, and I wrote half of a song just inspired by being out there.”
On her Adventures In Babysitting character: “Jenny’s basically the picture perfect babysitter, but I’ve actually never babysat in real life. [I don't drive either.] I don’t have my license or even my permit, but I had to pretend to drive in one scene. Everyone kept telling me how to shift gears and check the mirrors, but I just kept doing it all wrong. I’m still pretty happy to be driven around.”
On being close with older sister Sarah: “Sarah is always finding new music for us to sing. She’s a genius at Spotify. She’s always discovering unknown artists or introducing me
to my next favorite song. Sarah and I share a room, too, so we’re incredibly close. We spend basically every day with each other.”
