Perrie Edwards On Little Mix: 'Our Bond Has Become Even Stronger'

Perrie Edwards beat some pretty big names to become Fabulous magazine’s Woman of the Year.

In her interview, the 22-year-old Little Mix singer opened up about her public breakup with Zayn Malik, the support she’s gotten and why she’ll never, ever change. Check it:

On living through a public breakup: “As difficult as it can be to have your private life plastered all over the press and on social media every day, I guess the one plus side is that it is like a looking glass for other women to look in and relate to. I learn new things every day, but I’ve learned that no matter what life throws at you, you take it day by day.”

On her bond with Little Mix: “My bond with Jade, Jesy and Leigh-Anne this year has become even stronger. They’re the most incredibly supportive girls and I’m very grateful to have them.”

On looking ahead: “It’s [2015] had its ups and downs, but this year Little Mix have achieved so much. We’ve worked extremely hard and the support we’ve received from our fans has been incredible and uplifting. Next year is going to be a big year for us. We have the biggest tour of our careers yet, and I can’t tell you how excited we are. Touring is what we work so hard for � performing every night to huge crowds and getting to see all our fans close up.”

On staying true to herself: “I will never change. In years to come, I’ll still be that Geordie lass walking round South Shields with a battered Mars Bar! I don’t think this industry can change you when you have strong people around you, and my family, for one, are the most amazing supporters I have.”
