Aramis Knight Dishes 'Into The Badlands' Season Finale - Watch An Exclusive Clip!

Aramis Knight looks ready for a fight in this exclusive pic from the Into The Badlands finale, happening Sunday night (December 20) on AMC.

JJJ had the chance to chat with the 16-year-old actor, who plays MK in the series, about the big episode coming up, acting, his friendship with Dylan Sprayberry and more. Check it:

JJJ: You’re good friends with Dylan Sprayberry. Tell us something most people don’t know about him.
Aramis Knight
: I don’t think anybody realizes how dope his entire family is. Coming from separated parents, I was never able to fully experience living with my mom and dad. They’ve totally accepted me into their family in every way. I always have their back, and I know they have mine.

JJJ: What can you tell us about Sunday’s season finale? Why should people tune in?
AK
: Sunday’s season finale is going to be epic!!!! So many things are revealed that none of the viewers even saw coming. There are so many twists and turns. “Saddle up, it’s war”.

JJJ: Your show has two Asian leads, which is a very rare thing. You’ve also praised AMC for casting young people in roles of real power, like Kiernan Shipka in Mad Men. Why do you think other networks struggle with this?
AK
: This show is revolutionary in so many ways. Not only bringing martial arts back to America, but also casting two Asian American leads. It’s a barrier that should have been broken a long time ago. On top of that, giving Ally Ioannides (Tilda) and I such strong storylines. Glad that AMC, Al and Miles gave me a chance to show my full potential.

JJJ: M.K.’s love for Tilda is the only thing that allowed him to control his power. What or who in your real-life centers you when life gets crazy for you?
AK
: I find that speaking to my dad always gives me some type of clarity. Having a level headed person just a phone call away, proves to be much help.

JJJ: Tell us what it was like growing up in Woodland Hills, California. What was your childhood like? Did you have siblings? What do they do?
AK
: My childhood has been very unconventional. Growing up in a business that leaves your schedule so erratic makes it difficult to make any definite plans or even go to regular school. Although I had to forfeit things like prom or playing basketball for a high school, I am doing things most people only dream of. For that, I am so thankful. I have one sister who is 26, and she has two boys named Liam and Max. That makes me an Uncle!!!!

JJJ: How did you get into acting? What was your first acting gig? How old were you?
AK
: I was only 5 when I got my start in this business. So needless to say I didn’t really understand what I was getting into. The first thing I ever did was a pilot for ABC called “Invasion.” I don’t think I really knew I loved being an actor until the age of 12 or so.

JJJ: What are some of your favorite TV shows still in production? Fave albums of the year? Fave food?
AK
: Favorite TV show…The Walking Dead (unbiased). My favorite EP of the year is A Place Like This by Majid Jordan; and my favorite food is definitely sushi!!!!!

JJJ: Who is your dream actor to work with? How about a dream director?
AK
: Denzel Washington, Leo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Kristen Stewart…Ahhhhh too many to choose just one. [I would love to also work with] Quentin Tarantino or Martin Scorsese.

JJJ: What’s the last movie you saw? How was it? Last concert?
AK
: The last movie I saw was Adventureland with Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart, loved it. [My] Last concert [was] Kanye performed 808s and Heartbreak at the Hollywood Bowl in its entirety. That album has inspired me so much, so that was very special for me.

JJJ: Do you have any obsessions in life? Pet peeves?
AK
: I am completely obsessed with traveling. Going new places is the best. Biggest pet peeve by far is attention seekers.
