Ashley Tisdale Reveals the Inspiration Behind Her 'Illuminate' Makeup Line

Ashley Tisdale is talking more about her amazing Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale cosmetics line.

The High School Musical alum has been working on the project with BH Cosmetics for more than a year, with the collection launching globally in May.

“I’m someone who loves makeup – I love doing my own makeup and getting my makeup done – and I had specific ideas for what I wanted the palettes to look like so they would represent me,” Ashley told WWD. “I love the whole California beachy look, and I love glowy bronze. I think makeup is supposed to illuminate you. Hence, the title Illuminate.”

She added, “Sometimes when you’re working with a new makeup artist, they might not know exactly what you like, so it’s easier to do it yourself. You know exactly how you want a certain eye and how many lashes you want.”

The Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale collection is priced from $9 to $18, and consists of two eye shadow and blush palettes, six lip glosses, as well as six cheek and lip tints.
