Cole Sprouse is Returning to Television in CW Pilot 'Riverdale'

Get excited – Cole Sprouse is making his big return to the acting world!

According to Deadline, the 23-year-old recent graduate of NYU has officially been cast as Jughead Jones in the CW pilot, Riverdale, based on the Archie Comics.

Riverdale “is a subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life – the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome fa�ade.”

Lili Reinhart is set to play Betty Cooper.

Cole‘s character is described as a “heartthrob with a philosophical bent and former best friend of Archie Andrews. He is still smarting from the rift that took place between the two.”
