Meghan Trainor‘s new single “No” is officially out now and we of course have it on repeat and will for the rest of the weekend!
The 22-year-old singer dropped the song on Friday (March 4) and it is streaming now thanks to Spotify. The track will be featured on the upcoming album Thank You.
“[My label boss] L.A. Reid told me I didn’t have a single,” Meghan told EW. “He said I have an album of Nice Meghan and that I needed to be sassy. So I said, ‘I’m going to the studio to write you a smash!’”
“I told my producer [Ricky Reed] we needed a big eff-you song, an anthem about girl power that sounded like nothing on the album,” she added. “We wrote it that day.”
