The Vamps Talk 'Controversy' Behind 'I Found A Girl'

The Vamps head out of the ITV Studios in London, England on Wednesday morning (March 16).

The guys — Connor Ball, Brad Simpson, James McVey and Tristan Evans — came together to chat about their brand new song, “I Found A Girl”.

Speaking with DigitalSpy about the track, The Vamps explained the story behind the song — about a girl who turns down a guy because she likes women and it’s actually based on something that happened to them!

“It’s a concept that happened to one of us but we embellished it and exaggerated it in the song. It was never a relationship where she went off with anyone or anything,” James shared. “One of us started liking someone and then she said, ‘No, I like girls’. It wasn’t great. friend-zoned to the max. It’s just a funny thing and we’re not trying to be controversial.”
