On recreating The Little Mermaid in 2016: “We can’t make this regressive tale in a modern world. We’re going to flip it on its head. It’s going to feel good for women and men in the sense that it’s not just appropriating feminism, and it’s not leaning on regressive stereotypes.”
On standing up for equality at work: “There have been moments where I’ve read scripts and said, ‘Look� As a young woman, this is what has to change.’”
On relationship rumors: “I have no real plans. I don’t want anything right now. I can’t handle that right now. I want to be with someone who’s adventurous and wants to go do something.”
On whether Taylor Swift invited her to join her squad: “Yes… She’s a very talented person.”
