Katie Leclerc On 'Switched At Birth': 'To Be Involved In A Show That Touched People Is My Dream Come True'

Katie Leclerc is offering words of comfort to fans after it was announced that Switched at Birth has not only been cancelled, but will be back in 2017.

The 29-year-old actress, who plays Daphne on the show, took to Twitter after the news broke online about the delay in the premiere.

“When you get crappy news, process it. Really embrace what you’re feeling. Go through it. On the other side of it you realize your strength,” she wrote. “We are SO LUCKY to have had this amazing experience. To be involved in a show that touched people for 103 episodes IS my dream come true!”

Katie continued, “To the cast and crew, to the fans, and my family. We finish this month strong, and silly, and probably dancing. Yes! There has been a crazy amount of love and support sent to the #SwitchedatBirth cast in the last couple of days. I want to thank you so much!”

Creator Lizzy Weiss added, “It’s a bummer but it is what it is. I was a fan of Mad Men and I waited forever for its final season. True fans will wait. It’s worth it.”
