Kelsea Ballerini kisses her award in the press room at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards at The Forum on Sunday night (May 1) in Inglewood, Calif.
After winning Best New Artist at the RDMAs the night before, the 22-year-old “Peter Pan” singer picked up the Breakthrough Female Artist of the Year honor.
“This is amazing!” Kelsea shared on stage after her performance. “Since I was a little girl, I always wondered what it would be like to hear my song on the radio, and in the last two years country radio has given me the gift of knowing. So thank you country radio.”
She added, “To the fans to the people that have supported my music and made me feel so much love in the last two years, thank you so much, and to the country community for being as incredible as I always imagined, thank you.”
FYI: For her performance, Kelsea rocked a Glow Nation romper with Stuart Weitzman boots and Drukker Designs jewelry. In the press room, she wore a Georges Hobeika dress, Stuart Weitzman heels and jewels from Swarovski and Drukker Designs.
