Sam Smith Helped Meghan Trainor Through Vocal Surgery

Sam Smith picks up a drink to go while out and about in London, England on Saturday afternoon (May 7).

The 23-year-old musician is currently working on his next album after winning an Oscar earlier this year for “Writings on The Wall”.

Meghan Trainor recently cited Sam as a big factor in her getting vocal surgery last year.

“I was sitting in bed,” she shared, “I was having the phone calls with my management and agency, like, ‘Are we going to cancel this tour right now? Is this even possible, should we do it? What does the doctor want?’ And I texted Sam and I was like, ‘Should I get this done and fix this now and just get it over with?’ And he said, ‘I promise you, you will sing better than ever and be much happier if you get the surgery.’”
