In “Up in Flames,” with the new year approaching, Karma (Katie Stevens) goes to great lengths to make Amy (Rita Volk) happy; and Lauren’s (Bailey De Young) self-esteem takes a hit when someone from the past returns.

So how will it all end?

“I didn’t want the fans to be left literally hanging off a cliff. I wanted there to be some sort of resolution,” executive producer Carter Covington told TVLine.com. “I felt that it was most important for Amy and Karma to be in a good place, and for Amy and Karma to be happy. If we’d ended in a place where Amy was still unhappy, it would have felt very unrewarding.”
