Candice King Loved the 'Unspoken Words' & Tension Between Steroline This Season

Candice King is talking all things #Steroline with JJJ.

We caught up with the 29-year-old Vampire Diaries actress at the 2016 CW Upfronts where she opened up about the big kiss between Caroline and Stefan (Paul Wesley).

“I think three years is a nice chunk of time for the characters to be apart,” Candice told us. “I loved the thick tension and unspoken words that needed to be said.”

As for whether she sympathized with Alaric (Matt Davis),” she said, “Yes, I did. I was like, ‘Does she give the ring back?’ Because maybe if she gives the ring back they can use it for [the twins'] college education. That’s even brutal.”

“She had to [break his heart],” Candice added.

The Vampire Diaries will return on Friday nights this fall.
