Willa Holland Opens Up About Katie Cassidy's 'Arrow' Exit

Willa Holland is dishing the deets on the shocking death of Katie Cassidy‘s character Laurel/Black Canary on Arrow.

The 24-year-old actress says it “felt like losing a limb.”

“That was one of the most difficult things that any of us ever had to film,” Willa told the crowd during MCM Comic Con. “This was four years in, so we were all so close at this point.”

Of course, there is potential for Katie to come back.

She’s already appeared on The Flash as Earth-Two’s Black Siren.

“It’s not like she’s gone,” Willa added.

The Flash ended with Barry going back in time and changing it. I’m hoping that somehow crosses over to Arrow and Black Canary will be alive.

Did Katie want to leave? I know some cast members weren’t happy with the direction the show was going.

No one wanted her to leave. Not even the writers. The one person who did was Marc Guggenheim and he said it was for “shock value”. Nothing more, nothing less.
