MAX Praises Taylor Swift: 'She Deserves To Be Where She's At; She Doesn't Take It For Granted'

MAX poses for a picture after his recent appearance on The Lowdown with Diana Madison.

The 23-year-old singer opened up about his new basement parties, his friendship with DCD2 label head Pete Wentz and Taylor Swift. Check it:

On working with Pete Wentz: “He’s awesome – he’s a very real dude and I appreciate that in all ways. I think it’s important to not just hype people up – if he really loves something I’ve done he lets me know – when he says he really loves it I know he really means it. I’m a very happy person – but what I think I’ve learned from him is that it’s okay when you are feeling down or you’re in a bad mood to just accept it and live through it because that helps in so many ways – you can’t experience it all without experiencing it all – he keeps it real and I appreciate that.”

On his Basement Parties: “Growing up in New York City I didn’t really like going to clubs and stuff and I was always a little small for them – so I usually had parties at my house. This song is very much inspired by that. It just shows that whatever way you enjoy yourself you don’t have to do the cool thing to have a good time.”

On Taylor Swift: “She’s dope. I’ve heard stories all around the board. It’s not like she just puts a song out there and then suddenly it’s on the radio everywhere – every song she puts the effort in. She works so hard. She deserves to be where she’s at – she doesn’t take it for granted – every song you hear on the radio it’s because she had 50 radio people have a backstage pass at her concert and she hung out with every one and she sends a thank you note to each one of them. That makes every artist or band realize that you have to step your game up – to be the biggest artist in the world and still do those things shows that you never get to a point where you can just chill with it – you gotta be working just as hard and know everybody want it just as bad as you do.”
