Sofia Carson Teases Disney Channel's Shanghai Disney Special (Video)

Sofia Carson is helping Disney celebrate the opening of the new Shanghai Disney Resort and she is giving us a preview of the upcoming special in this new promo!

The 23-year-old Descendants actress is joining Disney for the spectacular one-of-a-kind grand opening celebration of its first resort in mainland China.

“Straight from Shanghai, China, you’ll get a front row seat for this historic celebration, taking place halfway around the world,” Sofia says in the new promo. “You’ll be among the first to see stories, songs, and characters you love come to life in a whole new way.”

The “Grand Opening Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort” will air on Thursday, June 16th @8PM on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD and each channel’s App; AND Friday, June 17th @ 10PM ET/PT on Freeform, without breaks or commercials.

Shanghai Disney Resort is a world-class family entertainment destination, imagined and created especially for the people of China.
