Freddie Highmore Reflects on Killing His Mom on 'Bates Motel'

Freddie Highmore has a laugh while out with friends on Wednesday afternoon (June 8) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 24-year-old actor recently opened up about the recent episodes of Bates Motel where his character, Norman, killed his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga).

“[I'm happy with the] fantastic pay-off for the story set-up…It feels worth it,” he shared during a video interview.

Freddie added, “They’re both just so broken and at their lowest point that he’s going to do what he believes is right. It’s a last act of love for the two of them.”
