Lucy Fry is joining forces with Thrive Market to bring food stamps online, which would help millions of Americans access healthy food.
The 24-year-old Vampire Academy actress and other celebrities like Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are speaking out because many of the 46.5 million Americans living on food stamps do not have access to a car but do have access to the Internet.
“Isn’t it crazy that you can go online and buy unicorn meat but we can’t go online and use food stamps to buy healthy food?” Lucy asks in a PSA.
Thrive Market even started a petition to ask the government to make food stamps available online, which you can sign here.
