Jason Dolley & Kay Panabaker Celebrate 'Read It & Weep's 10 Year Anniversary

Talk about feeling old — Read It and Weep is officially 10 years old!

Stars Jason Dolley and Kay Panabaker took to social media to celebrate the DCOM’s anniversary.

“You never know what’s gonna impact your life 10 years later. Read It and Weep still remains one of my favorite jobs,” Kay wrote. “It was my second time working in Utah in 6 months with the same crew, so it felt like going home. I got to work with my sister [Danielle], my mom was with me and my dad was there as often as he could be. So it really was like home.”

She added, “It still brings a smile to my face when people talk about watching the movie, so in honor of 10 years since Read It and Weep first premiered, here are a couple behind the scenes photos. Thanks for 10 years everyone.”

Jason wrote on his own Instagram: “10 years ago on @disneychannel Read it and Weep premiered. I found out I got the part on a Friday night, and I was supposed to go on a 2 week trip to D.C. with my 8th grade class that Monday. It was a tough choice. My brother went on the same trip the year before, and hearing about all the places he’d seen and memories he’d made, I couldn’t wait to go. All my friends were going. I knew I’d be missing out. But I also knew I couldn’t say no to this opportunity. I couldn’t have imagined where this decision would lead me. I think back to that night and who I would be now if I hadn’t gotten on a flight to Salt Lake City Saturday morning instead of the one to D.C. on Monday. Happy Anniversary, Read it and Weep!”
