Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling just confirmed that she’s officially done with his story after The Cursed Child.
“[Harry] goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we’re done,” J.K. told Reuters. “This is the next generation, you know. So, I’m thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.”
She continued, “[The play] chimed perfectly with the material I had about the next generation and I could see it would work perfectly. So, I never wanted to write another novel, but this will give the fans something special.”
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child takes place 19 years later, and follows Harry‘s son Albus Severus as he attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The play is now showing on London’s West End and was released in book form on J.K. and Harry‘s birthdays – July 31!
