Simone Biles Gets Praise From Past Olympic Gymnasts in 'Time' Cover Story

Simone Biles graces the new cover of Time Magazine.

The 19-year-old gymnast, and front runner at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, opened up about a life that could’ve been and the stresses that come with being on top. Check it:

On the stress: “I feel like it’s harder because everyone knows I’m the three-time world championit’s almost like people are waiting for something bad to happen. That kind of stresses me out a bit.”

On a life not traveled: “Growing up, I wondered what my life would have been like if none of this had happened. Sometimes if I get really, really deep in thought, I wonder if she [my biological mother] feels bad about what happened and wishes she had done things differently. But it’s not my job to wonder about that. Those aren’t questions for me.”

Gymnast Shannon Miller on Simone: “Typically gymnastics careers have peaks and valleys, but Simone has blown that apart. She’s like, You know what, I’m just going to hang out at the top, I’m good here.”
