Brazilian Gymnast Jade Barbosa Withdraws from All-Around at Rio Olympics

Jade Barbosa flies through the air during her routine during the Women’s Individual All Around Final at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics at Rio Olympic Arena on Thursday (August 11) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Brazilian gymnast withdrew from the competition after a scary landing during her floor routine.

During Jade‘s routine hit the floor hard in the middle of her tumbling passes. After wobbling off to the edge, it looked like she might have injured her leg, ankle, or foot. A medical team rushed to her side as she tried to catch her breath.

Just days before, Britain’s Elissa Downie also suffered a fall during her floor routine.
