Simone Biles Wins Gold Medal In Vault at Rio Olympics!
Simone Biles has won her third gold medal at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 14) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 19-year-old gymnast became the first American woman to win the gold medal on the vault and first to win three golds in single games in gymnastics. Nice!
Russia’s Maria Paseka was second, Switzerland’s Giulia Steingruber in third and India’s Dipa Karmakar who performed the “Vault of Death” placed 4th.
“I guess if you attempt an absolutely INSANE vault…. You can still fall and come in second at the olympics? Haha so crazy,” Shawn Johnson tweeted from her place in the stands about Dipa’s vault.
