The two Invisible Sister stars teamed up together and are encouraging their fans to donate to The School Fund, to help fund scholarships for a classroom of Kenyan students who otherwise would not be able to afford school.
‚ÄúI know sometimes we all complain about school, but when you imagine not being able to go at all‚ÄĒno chance at graduation, college, having your choice of career? That‚Äôs just tragic,‚ÄĚ Karan shared. “We can‚Äôt eliminate school fees today, but we can at least help some people stay in school for another year.‚ÄĚ
Paris added, “It‚Äôs not fair that depending upon where you were born, some of us get to go to school, and some live on maybe a dollar or two a day, and then they are charged $150-$500 if they want to go to school. Too many have no choice but to drop out. These particular students work really hard in school. They‚Äôre smart and would excel anywhere‚ÄĒso long as they have scholarships and can stay in school.”
Paris and Karan are even raffling off a lunch date in Los Angeles (one supporter will be selected at random to fly out and join them for a special lunch in the city. Airfare to Los Angeles will be included for the individual winner plus a guardian or parent) and some fans who share their #GetSchooled posts will be randomly selected to receive autographed swag from The School Fund.
