Tom Daley on Not Qualifying for 10M Diving Finals in Rio: 'Truly Heartbroken'

Tom Daley took to Twitter after being eliminated from the 10M diving finals at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.

Tom tweeted, “Truly heartbroken. but I will never give up on my dream of being an Olympic champion…Now time to head to the pool to cheer on Qui Bo to win this one! let’s go Qui Bo!”

“It’s really hard to accept. I’ve worked so hard,” Tom told the BBC. “Yesterday I scored the highest score ever in an Olympic Games. Today it wasn’t meant to be. That’s what diving does sometimes.”

“I truly am heartbroken because I feel like I am in the peak physical condition and I could have won,” Tom added.

Tom already won a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics.
