Camila Cabello Joins MTV's Total Registration Live to Get Young People to Vote

Camila Cabello talks about an issue that’s close to her heart as she join’s MTV’s Total Registration Live, aka TRL, campaign.

As election year ramps up, Camila will join Kendall Jenner, Ty Dolla $ign and more for the one-day program that MTV describes as “an empowering live special that will rally Millennials to register to vote.” The show’s title “TRL” is a flashback to the network’s classic franchise Total Request Live.

singer Camila, 19, took to Twitter to share a video she made with MTV explaining why voter registration has become an important cause for her. “I was born in Cuba, I’m Cuban Mexican. I came to American when I was 6 or 7 years old,” Camila explained. “As an immigrant, I know the struggle and importance of this election.”

TRL airs on Tuesday, September 27, on National Voter Registration Day @ 6PM ET/PT on MTV, mtv.com and MTV’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
