'Pretty Little Liars' Showrunner Shares Thanks To Author Sara Shepard For Books

We don’t even know what will happen to us when the cast and showrunner I. Marlene King officially wrap on Pretty Little Liars — all we know is that her tweets to author Sara Shepard are hitting us hard!

“Thank you @ sarabooks for starting it all with this little yellow book that changed my life forever,” Marlene shared on Twitter earlier last month, with Sara replying: “thank you so much @imarleneking ! and thank YOU for taking the little yellow book and making it so much more.”

Just recently, Marlene and Sara shared even more thanks to each other for what the books did and how the series exploded.

“.@sarabooks, thank u for creating this world for us to play in. I will forever be grateful. It’s gonna be hard to say goodbye,” Marlene shared.

Sara added, “@imarleneking writes the most gracious tweets ever. i can’t wait to see the finale and FIL and whatever’s next.”
