Shawn Mendes snaps a selfie with a fan outside of his hotel on Thursday (November 3) in Sydney, Australia.

Earlier that day, the 18-year-old singer stepped out a workout at the gym with his friend.

Shawn shared a photo on his Instagram that same day in which he is standing shirtless next to two pals after trying his hand at surfing!

“Surfing is no joke. Waves kicked my ass!!! Hahah,” Shawn captioned the pic (below).

It was recently announced that Shawn will be performing at the 2016 American Music Awards for the first time!
