Laurie Hernandez Teaches Harry Connick Jr The Ways of the Balance Beam

Looks like Laurie Hernandez will be a gymnastics coach soon enough!

The Olympic gymnast — who won the silver medal on the beam at the Rio Olympics, gave Harry Connick, Jr. a few tips for his first time up on the balance beam.

Laurie also dishes about her time on Dancing with the Stars with partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

“I mean dancing is exciting and I enjoy it so much it was always a passion of mine but at the same time dancing in heels, that’s hard, that’s really hard!” she shares. “In gymnastics, we are barefoot the whole time so as soon as we put on the heels I was tripping, rolling my ankles. Having a partner was hard too, I kept on bumping into him, I think I head butt him twice.”
