Dove Cameron Kicks Off 'Hairspray Live' Rehearsals!

Dove Cameron has officially started rehearsing for NBC’s Hairspray Live!

The 20-year-old actress and singer took to Twitter to share the news with fans.

“Day one of #hairspraylive rehearsal and I am SWEATING. #sheisfasthoney,” she tweeted.

The musical takes place in Baltimore in the early ’60s, when teenager Tracy Turnblad lands her dream role on the popular Corny Collins Show and becomes a dancing sensation overnight, crossing paths with a colorful array of characters along the way.

Hairspray Live! premieres on December 7 @ 8 p.m. on NBC!
