Justin Bieber Thinks His Fans Approach Him Differently Than They Used To

In a new clip from Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower, the 22-year-old superstar opens up about how his fans have changed since the beginning of his career.

In the documentary, Justin and his security director Mikey Arana talk about how his need for security has changed over the years and how fans approach him differently now.

“I say the hardest thing is just space. So having security it creates space, it creates boundaries, it creates a safe space for me,” Justin explained.

He added, “As the fans get older and know themselves more, they understand how to act. They actually want to act a little bit more sane so that maybe they get my attention. Because at this point, if you’re screaming and super overwhelming, it’s hard for me to connect with you.”
