Five Reasons Zendaya Will Be The Best Mary Jane Watson in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

Let’s get real here — Zendaya is going to be amazing as Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and if you’re doubting that in any way, shape or form, we’re going to convince you.

“People are going to react over anything…but of course there’s going to be outrage over that because for some reason some people just aren’t ready,” the actress told THR in her cover story she shares with co-star Tom Holland.

Zendaya adds about her controversial casting, “I’m like, ‘I don’t know what America you live in, but from what I see when I walk outside my streets of New York right now, I see lots of diversity and I see the real world and it’s beautiful, and that’s what should be reflected and that’s what is reflected so you’re just going to have to get over it.’”

#5 – She’s Amazing

Just plain and simple, she is. We’ve never known Zendaya to back away from anything she believes in — including her fans. She’s going to own this role and we all know it.

#4 – She’s A Hair Chameleon

Not convinced that Zendaya can pull off red hair for Mary Jane? She can and she will. It’s not like she hasn’t ever changed her hair before and not owned that. See the above pictures for reference.

#3 – Her Casting is Inspiring

Her casting proves to young (and older) women everywhere that you can do anything you want and inspire to be.

#2 – She Can Kick Butt Alongside Tom Holland

She does have a show called K.C. Undercover where she regularly and, most of the times, single-handedly takes down the bad guys. We’re pretty sure that Spider-Man wouldn’t mind a little help from her.

#1 – She’s Going to Slay The Part

No explanation necessary here. This is Zendaya we’re talking about. You know she’s going to slay.
