Olympian Meryl Davis Calls Out Fitness Brands For Using Models Instead of Athletes

Meryl Davis wants fashion and fitness brands to use actual athletes for their campaigns.

Just days after Bella Hadid scored a Nike campaign for their new collection, Meryl — who won a gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics — clapped back at Nike and Puma all in the same post, while giving praise to Reebok.

“I’ll take the one promoted by the athlete please,” Meryl wrote with a side-by-side-by-side with Bella, Kylie Jenner and gymnast Aly Raisman.

While JJJ is psyched for Bella grabbing a Nike campaign, we def agree with Meryl that fitness brands should show more athletes.

I agree with Meryl. Athlete brands should use athletes. Plus, Meryl is beautiful. Beautiful and athletic. She’s perfect for the brands. Instead of using more Jenners and Hadids. They have enough jobs and brands. I’m tired of seeing them everywhere.

I agree with her as well. It took Nike way too long to expand their female lines (I would know…) and now this. They really have NO clue who their real audience is when it comes to women.

It’s been one year since I finally quit my old work and I am so happy now… I started working from comfort of my home, for this company I found on-line, for several hours daily, and I profit now much more than i did on my office work… My payment for last month was for 9000 bucks… Superb thing about this job is that now i have more time for my loved ones… http://chilp.it/8d93f4b
