Audrey Whitby Makes JJJ Readers a Video Letter About Her Activism & Arrest -- WATCH NOW

Audrey Whitby had the shock of a lifetime when she got arrested at a peaceful protest following the 2016 presidential election.

The Liv and Maddie actress and her BFF Sabine Rutten took to the streets of Downtown Los Angeles to protest on Saturday, November 12.

“I will never forget last night,” Audrey shared in her Instagram post, which then detailed the surreal events that followed.

An immediate outpouring of support flooded Audrey’s inbox. Nickelodeon’s Kira Kosarin was one of the first people to reach out to Audrey, who stars on The Thundermans.

“Incredible words by @audreywhitby. I’ve been proud of Audrey so many times, but never like this,” Kira tweeted.

We knew JustJaredJr.com readers would have so many questions for Audrey, so we asked her if she’d record a video letter for us, and she did.

Listen to her talk about the experience, what her parents thought about her arrest and why activism is so important to her:
