'Descendants' Star Sofia Carson Teases 'A Descendants Magical Holiday Celebration' Special

The first question we asked Sofia Carson this week was how on earth she had time to even breathe!

The Descendants starlet and singer has so much going on — and it all starts with not just one, but THREE, Disney Parks specials that she’s participating in.

First up, Sofia tells up about the The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, which is on Thanksgiving Day.

“Yes! After a good Thanksgiving meal, you can see me hosting along with Julianne and Derek Hough. We have amazing performers like One Republic, Alessia Cara, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey…” Sofia teases.

She adds, “It was amazing to be a part of that and have the opportunity to interview all of these amazing artists.”

On Friday, Sofia will be hosting A Descendants Magical Holiday Celebration with her co-stars Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce and Booboo Stewart.

“With Dove, Booboo and Cameron, we perform ‘Jolly To the Core’, which is the holiday version of ‘Rotten To The Core’. It’s so much fun,” she says.

“It was so much fun [recording this]! When I first heard the idea of the new song, I was like, ‘Okay, this will be interesting…’ but like how is this going to actually work? When I heard it, Steven, who is the head of music for Disney Channel and absolutely brilliant, he’s the one who created this track and it’s just so fun.” Sofia adds about the new track. “It’s a wicked Christmas song.”

Sofia is also performing another song for this special — “Silent Night”!

“I’m performing it at Cinderella’s Castle and it was a dream come true. It was truly a Cinderella moment. It was so surreal!”

China Anne McClain and Forever In Your Mind will also perform on Friday night’s special.
