You have to watch this dramatic and gritty first promo for the Archie comics inspired show Riverdale, airing early next year on The CW!

KJ Apa stars as Archie in the show that follows him and his friends through their sophomore year of high school – all while a murder mystery is taking place.

The trailer also shows Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty (Lili Reinhart), two love interests of Archie.

The show also stars Cole Sprouse as Jughead, M�dchen Amick as Alice, Luke Perry as Fred, and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom.

The show premieres on Thursday (January 26) at 9pm on The CW.
