Ariel Winter is speaking her mind again – and we love it.
The 18-year-old Modern Family star appears in this new Elle.com feature called “The New Class” in which she talks about issues that are important to her.
“I don’t care what people say about me; I don’t care how people feel about the choices I make,” Ariel told the mag. “I hope everybody is supportive and likes the things I do and say, but I’m not concerned about it. That’s the way I feel like everybody should be.”
Here’s what else she shared:
On growing into her own body: “When I was 11-years-old, I was completely flat everywhere, I had always wanted boobs and a butt. I wished for it and I wished for it. People criticized me for being super thin and flat. Then, when, overnight I got boobs and a butt, suddenly became this curvy person, and I got criticized for that. People have to learn to stop caring because you aren’t going to win.”
On social media negativity: “[You] need to understand, the people that write negative comments on other people’s pages, are people that must have something going on in their lives that’s not great for them. There must be something going on for them to be attempting to hurt somebody [else].”
On not giving AF: “I’ve spent a lot of time developing a good relationship with myself, where I feel confident in the things I do and the things I say and the choices I make. I really don’t give a f-ck. I do what I want, I say what I want. It’s pretty great.”
