Zayn Malik reached out to Louis Tomlinson on Twitter, and our hearts are breaking even more.

“@Louis_Tomlinson love you bro! All of your family is in my prayers. proud of your strength and know your mum is too x,” Zayn tweeted to Louis shortly after the news spread that his mother, Johannah Deakin, passed away.

It was announced this morning that Johannah had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia only earlier this year. Despite treatments, she lost her battle.

No matter their differences or past struggles, Zayn‘s outreach shows that no matter their differences, the former One Direction singers will always be brothers.
