Lauren Jauregui Urges Fans to Get Informed on Violence in Aleppo

Lauren Jauregui is speaking out about the current unrest in Aleppo, Syria.

The 20-year-old Fifth Harmony singer took to Twitter to inform fans on what’s happening.

“My heart goes out to every innocent man, woman, and child that has had their life turn to terror because of greedy men’s quest for legacy,” Lauren tweeted. “Life imitates art, America has become a reality TV show..that happens to be the super power of the “free world” lol”

She added, “Read what I just retweeeted. READ about the people who have been labeled terrorists..what they’re enduring while we eat our daily bread.”

In case you’re unaware, Syria’s army and allied forces have reportedly killed 82 civilians who were fleeing their homes to escape the fighting going on in the eastern part of the city, according to the New York Times.

The latest news is that the Syrian Government has re-established control and an alleged cease-fire agreement has been reached among Syrian rebels.

Jens Laerke, a spokesman for the United Nations office, called the event a “a complete meltdown of humanity.”
