Bridgit Mendler Dishes On Her 'Nashville' Characters & New Music in 'NKD' Mag

Bridgit Mendler is going to have a huge year in 2017.

The “Do You Miss Me At All?” singer and actress opened up with the new issue of NKD mag about her music, and new tunes in 2017, as well as her character on Nashville.

“I’m really excited for 2017. We have a lot of ideas on how to do some fresh things with the music,” Bridgit shares about her music. “I’ve actually been working on producing a song.”

She adds, “The next new song we release I will have produced myself along with my collaborator. That’s been a really empowering experience and I’m looking forward to doing that a lot more in the future.”

Bridgit will play a YouTube pop singer named Ashley, whose content has taken off with a few million views who heads to Music City to work on her music, and stumbles across creative differences quite quickly.

“I have a lot of sympathy for people who are in that position and I respect that she has a strong perspective,” she shared, “A lot of times people with strong perspectives are made to look like they’re rude or inconsiderate but really, they just have something that they believe in and are passionate about and just have trouble articulating.”

Bridgit added, “This character, she’s a diva but I feel for her.”
