The two went on to release five videos together, including “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart,” “Cheap Thrills,” “Big Girls Cry” and “The Greatest.”
In each video, Maddie dons Sia‘s signature wig — either in two-toned black and white or platinum blonde.
So, naturally, when Sia released her lyric video for “Never Give Up” on Tuesday, it was immediately reported that it was Maddie playing the lead role.
Easy mistake! The lead character is wearing a nylon mask, so you can’t see her face.
But if you look closely, you can see that the dancer is younger than 14-year-old Maddie.
In fact, this upcoming star’s name is Prymrr (pronounced “premiere). She is an 11-year old dancer, actor (and rapper!), and we think you’re going to love her.
Check out our exclusive Q&A:
JJ: Congratulations on being featured in Sia‘s new video. So amazing! How did you hear about the project and what was the audition like?
PRYMRR: We saw the posting for a lost girl for an RCA mega-artist music video. They recognized me when I got there, from a Pussy Riot video I did.
