Why Did Chloe Lukasiak Leave 'Dance Moms' In The First Place?

If you are an avid Dance Moms watcher, you probably know everything there is to know about why Chloe Lukasiak left the hit Lifetime show in 2014.

However, if you aren’t, you actually have no clue.

After hearing the news and seeing it for our eyes that Chloe and her mom Christi, returned to the ALDC in Pittsburgh for the new season, we had to go back and remember all what led the two to leave in the first place.

It was very clear from the start that dance teacher Abby Lee Miller favored Maddie Ziegler over Chloe and the fights that occurred between Abby and Christi were shocking.

“I don’t want to deal with her anymore,” Chloe was overheard saying in one preview for the series that saw Abby criticize her performance.

Chloe and Christi officially parted ways with the show after Abby was accused of making fun of Chloe’s appearance.

In an interview, Christi opened up about the decision to leave the show behind, after Abby’s negative behavior got worse.

“As things got progressively worse, I think you can see I definitely changed as the series went on. At the end, I just said it’s time to be done,” Christi said. “I think that we were just sort of watching and seeing what was best for Chloe and when it was time we knew it, and we moved on.”

After leaving the show though, Chloe moved on and up. After winning Favorite Dancer at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards, she starred in Lifetime’s Center Stage: On Pointe and just finished filming a new movie, Loophole.

Abby was always criticizing the girls appearance. She once told Kelly that Brooke’s butt was too big…Seriously, I’ve met Brooke Hyland, her whole body could fit in one of Abby’s butt cheeks. Besides the only criticizing Abby should make is when someone makes a mistake while dancing and it shouldn’t involve her screaming at the girls.
