The CW’s Jane the Virgin broke hearts tonight with a major character death, and fans are still in shock.
Immediately after East Coasters saw Michael (Brett Dier) drop dead right before their eyes — in the last three minutes of the show, nonetheless! — they started undergoing some Twitter therapy, taking their grief out in 140 characters or less.
Viewers thought everything was on the right track: Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael happy, Michael taking his LSAT. All good, right?
Wrong!
Michael, whose death has been foreshadowed and was actually planned since season 1, took his last breath… and nobody saw it coming.
