Skai Jackson is opening up about her Twitter feud with Azealia Banks last year and why she felt compelled to speak up for Zayn Malik.

If you remember, the 14-year-old Bunk’d star called out the rapper after she made racist comments about Zayn.

“When I saw what she was doing, I was like, ‘This is not okay,’” Skai told Teen.com. “At first my mom was like, ‘What is going on? Why would you do that?’ But then she was proud of me for having my own voice. Even all of my friends, they were like, ‘Wow, you really stood up to her.’”

We love that Skai isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes is right.
