Hailee Steinfeld, Haley Joel Osment & The Youngest Nominees in Oscar History

Haley Joel Osment, you know, Emily‘s older brother, was nominated when he was 11 for Best Supporting Actor for The Sixth Sense.

But he’s not the youngest nominee…

Not many people know about Justin Henry, but he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor (at age 9) along with his Kramer vs. Kramer co-stars Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman, who both won.

Way back in the 1930s, a young Jackie Cooper, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor too. He was only 8! He has held the record for being the youngest nominee for Best Actor for 85 years!
