China Anne McClain Defends Demi Lovato's '1% African' Revelation
Actress and singer China Anne McClain jumped to Demi Lovato‘s defense regarding those controversial DNA test results.
Demi found herself in hot water when she shared on Twitter that she’s “1% African.”
Fans immediately spoke out, calling out the 24-year-old singer for assimilating a culture she wasn’t really a part of.
Demi‘s mood dropped immediately as the backlash started pouring in, and she was quick to let everyone know.
Just thought it was cool and totally random. Some of y'all are mean af. Twitter sucks. ????

Fortunately, not everyone was upset but her tweets. China — star of the Disney Channel’s upcoming Descendants 2 — was one of Demi‘s biggest defenders, tweeting:
Click inside to see China show immediate love and support for Demi, taking haters down along the way…
btw, @ddlovato I think it's cool that you have African in your blood.. as much as it's cool that I have different ethnicities in mine

.@ddlovato these are just small minded people???? we should celebrate our diverse ethnicities, not demean each other
