Troian Bellisario Clears Up Comments About Lena Dunham & Sexual Abuse

Troian Bellisario is apologizing for some tweets she made in regards to sexual abuse.

The Pretty Little Liars star originally took to Twitter to express her belief that sexual abuse is a serious crime worthy of a serious sentence.

When a fan told her Lena Dunham wrote in her book about sexually experimenting with her sister when she was a child, Troian, unaware of the situation, threatened to block the person for posting lies.

After reading the passage from Lena‘s book, Troian took to social media once more.

“Also after reading the passages that angered people in Lenas book. What I would look to is Simon (her sisters) account of the events,” Troian tweeted. “She also apologized to people who felt triggered by he story&I do believe that she is an advocate on every level for victims of sexual abuse”

She added, “Wow guys. I have to get off b/c I’m going into something but clearly I was unaware of this story until just now. I have apologized…To the person who told me they felt I was uninformed and I looked to read the passage that made them say what they said…Again. I feel I apolgize for being totally unaware of this. I am sorry for anyone I offended by speaking or before educating myself fully.”
